Inspiration

I’ve not had any time to work on my blog so far. Which means it’s still kind of empy. Work is very busy at the moment as well as my private life. I’m going to the gym three times a week. One of my new years resolutions was to keep fit and I’m still at it. I’m swimming now and yesterday I did 34 lengths in the pool. I want to do 40 in a month 3 times a week. Now I only do it on a Sunday as I have more energy then as it’s not on a work day.

Anyway. I still try to surround myself with creativity and that is why I wanted to talk today about another blog. The one that inspired me to start this one. It’s Slate Blu and it’s made by Joyce. She’s a fantastic mom and creative person. You will be amazed at how much she is able to make and post, especially when you remember that she’s got a job, husband and two kids. I love her use of material an how she gives projects a modern look. Joyce makes tons of great stuff and my hands itch when I see it all. So be aware when you pay her blog a visit.

Another tip I have to give you is a podcast. It's Brenda Dayne's Cast On. If you love knitting or even if you just like listening to an interesting woman with a great voice than this is the podcast for you. Besides addressing various subject to do with knitting, she plays music. And it’s a bit unusual at first, but her taste is excellent. I have discovered her last week and am now a Cast On junkie. I listen to at least two episodes a day to catch up. If you don’t fancy knitting, the let me induce you to at least download and listen to Episode 1.5. It’s about a snowy day and all you have to do is close your eyes and listen. It’s a masterpiece!!
